CASE STUDIES: e2e - Drugs Awareness Project

Loraine Bones and Deborah Riley of Say It Works were invited by the staff and learners of e2e Selby to see a presentation of the e2e learners’ drugs awareness projects. The learners had worked hard researching and producing their presentation – and it showed – the results were marvellous. All of the PowerPoint presentations and displays made great use of the Say It Works’ drugs awareness images to enhance understanding and provide visual impact to their message.

e2e is a national programme to help young people between the ages of 16-18, who for various social or academic reasons face barriers to work or training. The Selby e2e team and learners have been working with various Say It Works images for six months.

Philippa Skate, learning co-ordinator said:

“We have been using the Say It Works images for months now. They have certainly enhanced the quality of my lessons and handouts. Previously we had tried to find images using the net but rarely found any suitable that we could download. Researching a subject could also be so time consuming. With Say It Works the various subjects are usefully packaged into topic areas, saving valuable time. The learners love the site –it is clear, bright, modern and easy to use.

We were delighted to host the event to present the learners’ drugs awareness projects. Say It Works images were used to great affect. Also, the whole event will contribute to the achievement of the learners’ City and Guilds ‘Profile of Achievement’ course. We are delighted with such positive outcomes. I highly recommend the Say It Works site and illustrations.”
